Solutions

Open Solutions

Active from the beginning with x-RAN and O-RAN standards and now deploying at scale with leading RAN vendors. This ensures flexibility for our customers, while avoiding being locked into or controlled by any one supplier.

Pay-as-You-Grow Economics

We offer a variety of form factors with common software and modules to cost effectively grow from small initial deployments to large-scale production. Solutions are easy to install and operate with intuitive management.

Flexibility Serving Local Markets

Scaling access networks to grow the business requires a mix of technologies, including a combination of converged packet infrastructure, DWDM and smart pluggable optics to reduce both CAPEX and OPEX.
• Proven WDM solutions support CPRI transport with low latency & jitter
• Performance to meet timing for mobile applications
• Proven interoperability across leading RAN vendors
• Centralize components and lower OPEX with rich OA&M features
• Expand mobile services quickly, especially when fiber constrained

HFR Networks offers a complete portfolio of CPRI over WDM solutions for cost effective and high performance transportation of mobile traffic. Our proven WDM solutions support CPRI transport with low latency, low jitter and the flexibility across active or passive WDM, and DWDM configurations. HFR’s solutions have been proven at large scale for mobile use cases in leading customer environments such as SKT and Verizon. We also enable service providers to expand mobile services quickly, especially when fiber constrained with a business imperative to turn up new services fast.

Packet M6424 Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) Switch
HFR Networks delivered the industry’s first RAN packet transport solution with our M-Series products. We are working with Tier-1 service providers in the United States to reduce deployment and operational costs while facilitating a fast and smooth evolution to 5G wireless technologies. The provided solutions mark an important industry milestone with standards-based packet fronthaul to normalize operations across radio solutions from leading 3rd party suppliers. The M6424 solution is purpose built to enable an advanced mobile network with nanosecond timing – connecting cellular radios using Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) and eCPRI packet solutions supporting both traditional and cloud-based NFV mobile architectures. CPRI traffic is encapsulated using IEEE Radio-over-Ethernet (RoE) standards to realize significant performance and cost benefits. The M6424 offers investment protection across traditional CPRI radios and enhanced or eCPRI ones, including ORAN solutions. Operators are also migrating to a virtual RAN (vRAN) or cloud architecture which requires high performance xHaul with the economics of an M6424 TSN solution. The M6424 is an ORAN compliant solution with proven interoperability across a diverse set of RAN vendors to ensure operators can implement today while supporting a graceful network evolution over time.
